I continue to be told the story of the American Investor who came to Sidney to buy homes a few years ago when the exchange rate was in the American’s favor like it is now. “A Realtor showed him 21 properties and he bought 19 of them.” The storyteller is always focusing on the profit that the investor would be realizing now with the property values up.
The storyteller last night was a restaurant owner and he embellished his story with …”He was sitting right there with his client. When the client went to the washroom he told me about what was happening.”
I’m starting to get a kick out of this tale. I wonder how many times I will be told it. I have only been here a week and I’ve already heard it twice.
