Throwing out the Trash is complicated

VANCOUVER ISLAND IS A GREEN ISLAND POLITICALLY AND IN ACTUAL PRACTICE. ON A THURSDAY NIGHT (WHEN THEY HAVE THE STREET FAIR) I WANTED TO THROW THE REMAINS OF A WAFFLE CONE AWAY. I COULDN’T FIND THE TRASH CAN.  I WAS TOLD TO PUT IT IN A HOLE ON TOP OF THE COUNTER. THAT IS WHERE THEY COLLECT WHAT THEY COMPOST. ALL OF THE BUSINESSES HAVE THEIR COMPOST COLLECTION SPOT AND THEY DO COMPOST.

AT TIM HORTON’S AND STARBUCKS I HAVE TO STAND AND READ WHAT IT TELLS ME TO DO .,.PAPER..PLASTIC…GLASS ..FOOD..FOUR DIFFERENT SPOTS. I’M GUESSING THERE IS PROBABLY AN ORDER THAT THOSE WHO LIVE HERE RECOGNIZE. I HAVE FOUND MYSELF HOLDING PEOPLE UP WHILE I READ. THEY ARE USUALLY CHUCKLING. PROBABLY A BIG GIVE AWAY THAT I AM NOT FROM HERE. EVERYONE ACTUALLY DOES SEPARATE EVERYTHING.
