There goes the mink

SO WE WENT TO THE LAVENDER FARM NEAR SIDNEY. ALAN IS AN INTERESTING CHARACTER AND HAS MANY DIFFERENT ANIMALS ON HIS FARM. MANY GOATS, CUTE LITTLE KIDS, PYRENEES PUPPIES,  A COLLIE GUARD DOG, GEESE, PEACOCKS (COLORFUL AND WHITE) AND PHEASANTS. AND OF COURSE FIELDS OF LAVENDER.

AS WE WERE WALKING BACK FROM THE FIELDS A MINK RAN ACROSS THE PATH WITH A MOUSE IN IT’S MOUTH. IT  WAS WEASEL- LOOKING  AND  BLACK. SO I DESCRIBED THE ANIMAL TO ALAN AND HE SAID IT WAS A MINK. WOW I HAD NEVER SEEN A MINK BEFORE. ALAN WANTED TO KNOW  WHERE I SAW IT.  IT WAS DOWN BY THE BRICK WALL. WHILE WE WERE STANDING TALKING THE MINK RAN BACK ACROSS THE PATH. ALAN YELLED OUT,” THERE IT GOES”. THEN HE RAN AFTER THE MINK. HE CALLED TO HIS WORKER TO COME HELP. THEY COULD NOT CATCH IT. I WAS GLAD.. I WAS CHEERING FOR THE MINK. BUT THE BAD NEWS WAS THAT THEY WERE GOING TO SET TRAPS. I GUESS THE MINK CAN EAT THE BIRDS.

IT SEEMED LIKE WATCHING A CHARACTER FROM A CHILD’S BOOK. RUN LITTLE MINK.
