On the the way to Butchart Gardens I passed the Butterfly Gardens but never took the time to stop. With all the smoke and bad air it seemed like a good idea. Great decision it is a peaceful spot. Cool, water spraying and wonderful opportunity to interact with nature. The idea is to stop, not move and let the butterflies come to you. A time to stay still…now that was fun.
The surprise was the fun watching the other animals. A poor tortoise was being totally harassed by an Iguana…riding on the back …biting the head..it was crazy to watch. The butterflies were bugging a parrot ..that was funny. Great spot to hang on a smoky day. Other interesting bugs and insects. Loved the huge tarantula and other unique insects. Definitely a spot for a return visit.
